Tasks

Holiday Work: For your return to Yr 13

Be your obssession for the day.

Spend one whole day obssessing over your obssession. From the moment you wake up until you go to sleep, eat, drink, think your obssession. Document your thoughts and your actions for the day, keep a journal, post on your blog, track your movements through photography. If you're obsession is music related, spend the day with that music as your soundtrack. Document how you feel, how other people react to you. Plan in advance if you need to go visit things/places or people.

You should create at least 4 pages in your sketchbook from this day plus blog entries.

On top of this, you need to blog twice a week.

27th June

You will need to create your first art history page in your sketchbook today. This should include 2-3 pictures, one artist copy (using a range of techniques) and then your own artwork using the techniques that you have learned. Your own artwork should be based on your theme - your moodboard should help you here.

20th June

By 22nd June you should all have meet the deadline to have your blog operational with a personalised header and 5 posts.

Use todays lesson to ensure that you are on task for this deadline. You should also have a better idea of what you are going to use as your topic for you project.

13th June

Task one:

Log into your own blog. Add yourself as a ‘follower’ to this blog (if you haven’t already) fill in the field to get sent email updates. Explore the links that I have posted.  Add a well  considered comment to the question that has been posed.
Task two:
Write a blog post of your own, include links and images. Ensure that all things taken from other websites are properly credited.
Task three:
Start to design a header for your webpage.
The dimensions that I have used for mine are:
 800px x 270px
72dpi (as you are designing for web NOT print)
RGB (again because you are designing for web)
Your header must reflect the content of your blog; it needs to contain your blog name in relevant type.
Your header could be done in photoshop or illustrator. It could include a photograph that you have taken or a drawing that you have done. You could make it by hand and scan it in, you could use mixed media. Be creative.

8th June
Blog Brief

Task:
You are to start a Blog that you will use to document your research for your Unit 3 project Passions and Obsessions.  You should include links to things that inspire you, a diary of your thoughts, photographs that you have taken and uploaded (could be from your phones), include links to other peoples’ blogs.
Upload video, again from your phones if you have smart phones.
You will post every lesson, you will also collect a record of your posts that you can print off and turn into A3 sketchbook pages.
This will be the basis of your art history. You can post anything you like on your blog that is part of the thought process of how you will plan your final project.
You will post all summer – at least twice a week. I will check your blog on a weekly basis – and comment on occasion too!
Lesson:
You will need to create an identity for your Blog:
·         You will need a name for the blog
·         You will need a header that will include a logo
·         You will design a background for the blog page

The website you will use to create your blog is www.blogger.com

Once your blog is up and running, you will each become followers of one another’s blogs, you can comment (sensibly). You will also need to follow my Blog (Naia the Baby Owl) as I will post important information for you and will also frequently update links when I find things of interest.

Your parents can follow our Blogs….so they will know how you are getting on, and will have access to important information from me.

Your first deadline is

July 22nd – You should have finished your blog and have posted AT LEAST 5 times.
